U5 Years Boys and Girls

• Learn the skills to play Rugby League through fun, game based activities.

   

• Recommended for 4-5 year olds of all skills and abilities.

   

• Enjoy 40 minutes of fun each session.

   

• Develop skills with a modified league tag game to finish the session.

   

• Parents join in on the fun.

• All equipment supplied.

• Safe and inclusive of all abilities.

Our U5's program is designed for parents to get involved and spend some quality time with their child learning some simple footy skills. Your involvement in the program has a huge impact on your child's enjoyment, skill progression and achievement.

Our U5's crew is a great first step for first time footy parents to get involved, have some fun with your child and for the whole family to join our Stockies community.

Under 6 Boys and Girls​

U6 will play League Tag for the duration of the season.

​​

Under 7 Boys and Girls

U7s will need to complete the Tackle Ready Program. This takes 6 weeks and is delivered 30 minutes before the U7's main game.

U7 will play League Tag for the first 6 weeks and rugby league for the remainder of the season.

​

Mini League Boys and Girls Mixed

Under 8s & 9s Mixed Rugby League & U8 Girls League Tag

This is a non competitive program where our emphasis is to develop new skills, meet new friends, learn and enjoy the game of rugby league & league tag.

Canberra Competition

Ages 10-16 Boys Rugby League

Under 13s, 14s, 15s & 17s Girls Rugby League

Under 10s ,11s, 12s, 13s, 14s & 16s Girls League Tag

This is a competitive program in the Canberra Competition. Games are played either at North Park Goulburn or various playing fields in Canberra Region.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY RUGBY LEAGUE?

• Football boots

• Mouth guard

• Headgear is optional.

• All players receive playing shorts and socks and will be issued a playing jersey.

WHEN DOES THE SEASON START & FINISH?

The 2026 season will start on the 1st of May 2026.

Season end date to be finalised.

​

DO WE PLAY IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS?

No, the regular competition does not play in the school holidays or public holidays.

The NRL often run clinics and the occasional carnival which may be held in holidays. These are optional. 

​

WHERE & WHEN DO WE TRAIN?

Your coach will notify you of your training time and day. Training sessions are held at North Park Goulburn unless otherwise specified.

​

IT'S RAINING/SNOWING, IS FOOTBALL STILL ON?

Football is a winter sport however the safety of the children playing is our priority and discretion will be used with regard to inclement weather.

I WANT TO COACH A TEAM, HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT?

Coaches will be required for the following teams;

U5, U6 & U7 Mixed League Tag

U8 to U17 Rugby League including U13, U14, U15 & U17 Girls teams. 

U8 - U16 Girls League Tag. 

​

Coaches must be accredited or willing to complete an accredited course and must hold a current Working With Children Check.​

Fantastic! Many hands make light work!

We are looking for volunteers from First Aid to League Safe, setting up and packing up the fields, ground managers, in the canteen etc.
